Dekaron Glossary
A reference for terms you'll come across on Dekaron (2Moons) private servers. Each entry briefly explains what the term means and how it affects your choice of server and gameplay. Terms link to each other, and you can jump straight from an entry to matching servers.
- Classes
- In Dekaron, your character is defined by its class: there are no races in the game, so the whole choice comes down to class. The original version had six — Azure Knight, Segita Hunter, Incar Magician, Segnale, Vicious Summoner and Bagi Warrior — and later versions added more. Class sets your combat style and PvP role, which makes it the main decision when creating a character. Related: No Races, Skill System, Version (v22.x)
- No Races
- Unlike many MMORPGs, Dekaron has no races: characters differ only by class. This simplifies character creation and shifts the focus to your combat role rather than your origin. Class is fixed for good — you can't switch it later, so it's worth choosing carefully based on the playstyle and PvP role you want. Related: Classes, Skill System
- Skill System
- Dekaron's skill system is built around growing and combining abilities: skills level up and combine to produce different effects depending on class and build. A well-planned skill combo noticeably strengthens a character in combat and PvP. Skill settings can vary between private servers, so their balance is part of what to check when picking a project. Related: Classes, Physical Combat (Charon)
- Physical Combat (Charon)
- Dekaron runs on its own Charon engine with a combat system that accounts for physics: strong hits can knock monsters back or off their feet. Alongside the familiar target-based combat, the game offers a more dynamic, "arcade-style" control mode. This combat mechanic is one of Dekaron's recognizable traits, shaping how fights feel on any server. Related: Skill System, PvP
- DK Square
- DK Square is one of Dekaron's main PvP modes: players enter a shared lobby where they're matched into teams and sent into matches against other players and monsters. Opponents can come from different levels and even different servers, which speeds up finding a match. DK Square is the most accessible way into PvP, so its activity shows how alive PvP is on a server. Related: PvP, Colosseum, Siege Mode
- Siege Mode
- Siege Mode is Dekaron's siege system, part of the massive war system: guilds fight for control of strongholds in large-scale battles. Siege battles and guild wars are the backbone of the game's mass PvP. Siege activity is a good gauge of how alive organized guild conflict is on a server, so it matters to players who value team PvP. Related: Guild War, PvP, DK Square
- Colosseum
- Colosseum is Dekaron's arena, one of the core PvP modes where players fight in duels and team battles for rewards and status. Unlike large-scale sieges, Colosseum is a more contained, competitive format. The arena lets you test your strength outside the open world and guild wars, so it appeals to those who prefer fair duels and matches. Related: DK Square, PvP, Open-World PvP
- Open-World PvP
- Open-world PvP is a Dekaron trait: duels are allowed almost everywhere, and in certain zones free PvP applies, letting players attack each other at will. This makes the world tense and competitive. Open PvP rules are often customized on private servers, so it's worth checking them when choosing a project that fits your playstyle. Related: PvP, Colosseum, Siege Mode
- Guild War
- Guild wars are battles between Dekaron guilds for prestige, territory and dominance, part of the massive war system alongside sieges. A strong, active guild is the backbone of organized play and mass PvP. Guild life and wars largely determine how alive a server's endgame feels, so players who value team content pay close attention to them. Related: Siege Mode, PvP
- Dungeons
- Dungeons are instanced locations in Dekaron cleared for experience, loot and rare items, solo or in a group. There are many of them, varying in difficulty and required level. Dungeons are the backbone of PvE content: they're where gear for PvP preparation is farmed, so their selection and settings matter when choosing a server. Related: PvE, Enchant
- Enchant
- Enchant is the upgrading of weapons and armor in Dekaron, boosting their stats. Past a certain level, enchanting becomes risky: a failed attempt can damage the item. Maximum levels and success chances are often customized on private servers, and this noticeably affects the economy and the strength of top players preparing for PvP and sieges. - Version (v22.x)
- Version is the Dekaron client build number, which determines the set of classes, zones, systems and balance. Different versions exist in the private scene, and you can only connect with a client that matches the server. The version is always listed in a project's description, since it determines exactly which build of the game and which content you'll be playing. - Classics
- Classics are Dekaron private servers that recreate early versions of the game with familiar balance and fewer systems. They're chosen by players who prefer the old-school experience of the game's early years (the 2Moons era) over later content. The Classics label in a description helps tell such servers apart from projects on modern versions with the full set of classes and mechanics. - PvP
- PvP (player versus player) means fights between players rather than against monsters. In Dekaron, PvP is the heart of the game: open-world combat, duels, DK Square, Colosseum, sieges and guild wars. Servers focused on PvP bet on frequent clashes. If you're drawn to competing against real opponents, Dekaron was built around PvP from the ground up. Browse PvP servers Related: PvE, DK Square, Open-World PvP
- PvE
- PvE (player versus environment) means playing against the world: monsters, bosses and dungeons rather than other players. In Dekaron, PvE covers leveling, clearing instances and farming gear to prepare for PvP. Although Dekaron is primarily about PvP, PvE remains the foundation of character progression, so this label shows where a server's main focus lies. Related: PvP, Dungeons, Rates (x1, x50, x1000)
- Rates (x1, x50, x1000)
- Rates are multipliers for experience, drop and currency gain compared to the official game. A low-rate server keeps the slow progression close to the original; a high-rate server speeds up the path to PvP content and sieges. Rates are one of the top factors players use to pick a server, so they're usually listed near the top of a description, alongside the version. - Dekaron Private Server
- A private server is a project run by a team of enthusiasts outside the game's official infrastructure. Such servers set their own version, rates, enchant settings and PvP balance, so projects differ noticeably from one another. Dekaron private servers let you play classic versions (the 2Moons era) or enjoy accelerated leveling — that's what to look at when choosing one.
